About training Smithing

Smithing is a buyable skill: you smelt ore into bars at a furnace, then hammer those bars into gear, ammo, or minigame swords. The go-to fast route is feeding gold ore through the Blast Furnace while wearing Goldsmith gauntlets for the highest raw XP, whereas the Giants' Foundry minigame trades some raw speed for far less frantic clicking. Almost everyone skips the painful early levels with a batch of Smithing-reward quests rather than grinding them.

Did you know: Taking Smithing from 1 to 99 is 13,034,431 XP - done entirely on cannonballs that is roughly 509,000 steel bars melted into more than 2 million cannonballs, and you would actually turn a profit the whole way.

How long does 99 Smithing take in OSRS?
